Beautiful picture. Reminds me of my childhood days when we used to buy yard long lengths of garland made from this fragrant flower. You have a wonderful and informative site and what an amazing garden. I do balcony gardening :( (too less a space) and was able to grow tomatoes and bell peppers this year. Chanced upon your site while browsing for nutrition information. Do check out my blog too chamayal.blogspot.com

Hi Indiara,
Your blog is so nice.....I love gardening. I live in Dallas. Even though i live in an apartment, iam able to grow some plants like Jasmine. curry leaves palnt, karpoora valli etc. After i saw your blog i wanted to grow Kanakambaram and maruvam plants too. Some people are saying that we will get these plants in Lowes and Home depot. Do we get these plants in seeds or in plants? Can you please let me know. Appreciate your response.

I chanced upon your blog, while searching for Botanical names for some of the beautiful flowers I have come across. Your photographs of the festivals and those of the flowers are a delight to behold. I particularly liked the kanakambarams. Ihave quite a few of these plants in pots on my terrace which bloomp profusely. Time I put a few photos of them on my blog or flickr stream.

Hi Indira,

Love your garden flower pictures. If you don't mind, can you write a blog about gardening tips for beginners. How to care for your garden? What does it involve? How do you fertilize it? Any problems you have come across, etc. It would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Sara

Wow Vijaya Garu.... well captured. I have been searching for this plant, but couldnot get it. Once I found in Kroger, but was in a hurry. thought I will come and pick it later.
Could never found after that.
